day 2: shooting the party scenes for Louise and Jane

What a night! Shooting in a brightly lit room with our beloved friends. A budding romance between Louise and Jane takes shape, slowly. Some hilarious moments, to be sure. Thanks to J.P Jespersen for cooking up spaghetti for our friends, and cast.
Russell Daniels took these awesome photos of our evening. What an experience!

Production Begins in San Francisco!

Our first shoot went great! Here are some production stills for you to enjoy. It was a pleasure reacquainting with our friends and collaborating on this film. The day was spent mostly doing improv exercises and getting into character with the lovely backdrop of the city. Louise and Jane have really missed each other-and we all look forward to their upcoming shenanigans.

Who are Louise & Jane?

Louise & Jane are women. Louise & Jane are artists. Louise & Jane are in love! Ah, but there is a crux- The two haven't seen each other for two years and they live in different cities-Portland and San Francisco to be exact. After several years of dating during college, and several painful breakups-the two are finally ready to make that big 'leap' into love again. Louise has decided to travel to California for a weekend of frivolous fun with her old flame, in hopes of reigniting what once burned so hot.
Watch this hilarious duo as they face all of the typical issues of being in a relationship, but with the zany type of humour and humanity that that only L&J can dish out.
Created by Kate Zimmer and Shantel Bennett in 2007, Louise and Jane began as an exercise in improvisation and fun-the two would spontaneously film fictional scenarios between the silly lesbian couple. Kate and Shantel premiered a poorly edited version of the dry, B film at an open screen in Salt Lake City, and to their surprise it was met with praise and big laughs. Years later, they decided to take their fun to a 'new level' and introduce Louise and Jane in a whole new season of episodes-coming next year.
The new episodes will titillate, inspire, and have you asking, "Can love and art, co-exist?"
